SensoryWand launches in Tooting and Wandsworth

SensoryWand launches in Tooting and Wandsworth

Millie, a Wandsworth mum, has created @SensoryWand to help build a community of shared resources & support for fellow families whose lives are affected by Sensory Processing Disorder, autism, ADHD & other neurodiversities.

Millie says, “We’ve just dipped our toes into the world of SPD (and on diagnostic pathways for both autism & ADHD) and it’s an overwhelming, confusing & at times very dark place. But we’ve been lucky to find some great resources, people & places in our local area that have gone a long way to making this journey more manageable.”

@SensoryWand hopes to raise meaningful awareness by sharing informative & fun content with the emphasis on bringing back the enjoyment of family fun times while navigating the long and challenging roads ahead.

As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, @SensoryWand is calling on families & the neurodiverse community to share their sparks of brilliance, moments of pride & wonder.

The aim is to help change the conversation around neurodiversity to a more positive one, and to shine light on the potential, not fear the challenges.

Please share your moments, stories, achievements – anything that stops you in your tracks and makes you think “WOW” along with the hashtag #SparksThatFly.
