Liam from the Wellbeing Team at Talk Wandsworth (based in Tooting), on their new workshops in the borough.

We’re now offering a range of free creative and laid-back, fun and insightful workshops in Wandsworth.

These workshops are a great opportunity for people to meet in a relaxed and non-judgemental environment to learn about a wide range of topics and skills. The friendly and informative workshops make reference to a broad range of ideas and techniques, from mindfulness and positive psychology, to goal setting and relaxation. Participants are not asked to share or discuss anything personal, unless they want and feel comfortable – the workshops are skills-based and focus on learning practical Wellbeing skills. 

Individual attention and support is given. We aim for our workshops to be interactive and collaborative – participants benefit from learning from each other, pooling their knowledge and sharing their valuable life experience.

A participant who attended our Coping with Stress workshop said, “The staff were very approachable, kind and understanding. It was a very helpful and thought provoking workshop.” Another participant who attended our Managing Anger and Irritability workshop commented, “It was a really well thought out course and extremely helpful. The trainers were encouraging and supportive –thank you for making me feel so at ease!”

Our workshops will be running at different locations and times all around the borough to accommodate as many people as possible so if you are interested in hearing more or booking for your place, get in touch!

Please find below a brief outline of our workshops:

Self Confidence and Assertiveness
An inspiring and creative workshop focused on empowering individuals to increase their understanding of self-confidence with an emphasis on challenging the unhelpful beliefs we have created about ourselves and our self-worth. 

Coping with Stress
An engaging and laid-back workshop aimed at discovering how, as individuals, we respond to stress in our lives. We will look at developing the tools needed to cope with both expected and unexpected stress and focus on different ways to manage stress and learn new relaxation techniques and strategies.

Reaching Your Potential
This life-affirming and forward-looking workshop focuses on personal development, increasing motivation and ways to reach and realise your full potential. 

Self-Care, Compassion and Relaxation
A fun and creative workshop aimed at providing key skills to overcome stress and to promote and develop your own self-care skills. 

Managing Anger and Irritability
An informative and hands-on workshop with a particular focus on understanding the role anger plays in our lives and ways to overcome it.
