Family-friendly food in Tooting!

Rachel’s scoured Tooting to find some great places to eat with the kids. Anywhere we’ve missed? Let us know us your favourites by emailing share@tootingdailyprss.co.uk!

Tooting is full of fantastic places to eat and sometimes it's hard to choose, especially if you want to eat out with the family. So here are some great places that will offer you more than chicken nuggets & chips, are great value and are kid friendly.

The Trafalgar Arms148 Tooting High Street (020 3437 0874)
If you're eating out with children on a Sunday and like the sound of a mini kids’ roast, then head to this Tooting favourite. Kids menu includes mini roasts, kids burger, fish & chips or sausage & mash.
Good for: Sunday roast with the family & grandparents.

Rose & Crown140 Tooting Bec Road (020 8767 1589)
The 'Kids Combo' is great value at £7.50. It includes a Margherita pizza, juice & melted nutella doughnut or ice cream tub.  On Monday nights their 2-for-1 pizza deal is a bargain – the cheapest one comes free after 5pm.
Good for: Combining the kids dinner with the parents 'wine-o-clock'.

The markets
Good for: Variety & soaking up the atmosphere.

Markets

Tooting Market21-23 Tooting High Street
Head here if everyone wants to eat something different. Try ordering a variety of dishes from different places & eat them on the communal benches in the centre of the market. You'll be spoilt for choice!

  • Franco Manca (pizza). Kids menu available.
  • Koi Ramen (Japanese). Try the veggie, pork or chicken gyoza (3 or 6 pieces).
  • Get Juiced (juice bar). This Tooting gem run by the friendly & knowledgeable Leon is situated right by the central benches & the perfect place to buy the kids a juice or smoothie, made to order!
  • Nuvola Bakery (cakes). Situated at the back of the market, this is the place to buy pudding – gorgeous cakes, tarts & biscuits.
  • Mina's (Portuguese). Fantastic crispy chicken and chips. They’re currently closed for refurbishment, but re-opening soon.

Broadway Market, 29 Tooting High Street
Another great indoor market for food, Highlights include:

  • Pedal Back Café. Great for breakfasts, brunches, cakes and, of course, bicycle maintenance!
