Digilab, an exciting new community-based digital hub for local creative coders, makers, hardware enthusiasts and game developers of all ages opens its doors in Tooting this Friday.
Digilab Tooting has the potential to be an invaluable local resource in Tooting with the skills of Digilab participants being used to solve local issues that can enrich the lives of all residents.
Digilab Tooting will offer the following services to the community through a membership package:
Programming & Robotics:
Coding classes, robotics workshops, Raspberry PI, Audrino, PC building, Ozbots and computer gesture control.
3D printing workshops, 3D scanning and printing.
Video capture, video editing, vlogging and social media content creation.
Gaming & Virtual Reality
Gaming tournaments and sessions, Anki Overdrive racing, virtual reality gaming.
Digilab will host quarterly Raspberry Jam hackathons.
Initially established in Barking in March 2016 by Brighter Steppings Ltd in partnership with the Barking Learning Centre, Digilab in Barking has fast grown to become a strong enabler of the creative and inventive spirit of both young and old residents of the Barking community and is now being rolled out in Tooting based on the exact same model.
Digilab Tooting opens it’s doors for the first time from 4-6pm on Friday 21st April (at the Trident Business Centre, 89 Bickersteth Road, Tooting, SW17 9SH) and warmly welcomes all visitors to come and find out more about this exciting new community initiative.
