Estate Agent of the Year, Marsh & Parsons opened their branch on Upper Tooting Road in January 2016. They’ve already become firm favourites in the community (having attended school fairs at Hillbrook and Fircroft, and frequenting Tooting restaurants, pubs and bars) and aim to establish themselves further as part of the community this year. We met John-Paul and Emma in Tartine, their local café, for a chat.
TDP: Hi both! So how are you finding Tooting?
John-Paul (Head of Sales): We love it here! We all actually know the area really well, as we live and work in or around Tooting, so our local knowledge gives us a huge advantage. I love Tooting for its variety of shops, bars and restaurants and I love the diversity of people. The Castle is one of my favourite haunts – its new look and large private garden makes it a very welcoming place to go and relax after a long week on a Friday. I have also visited it for lunch meetings with clients.
Emma (Head of Lettings): I love Broadway Market and the real mix of culture in the area – there’s so much on offer in Tooting. Tartine is another favourite of mine, hence why we’re here (the cakes are to die for), and we’re spoilt by the plethora of restaurants – and of course, everyone appreciates a Chicken Cottage on a day off!
TDP: What makes you stand out as an estate agent?
Emma: We pride ourselves in providing a high level of service – we offer a professional yet personable approach and will go that extra mile to assist in our clients’ needs. We strive to ensure that the rental process is as easy, quick and stress-free as possible, whether you’re a renter or a landlord.
John-Paul: If you want an exceptional service with an experienced team who want to help you find your perfect property, then we’ll guide you through the process and make it one to remember for all the right reasons. The assumption is so easily made that all estate agents are the same, but this couldn’t be further from the truth with us! We take huge pride in our own special brand of expertise – if you’re unhappy with us for any reason, then we want to know about it!
We offer a service that is exceptional because it should be. The process of buying and selling a property is stressful and can be a complicated one. So, if you are just thinking of buying or selling and just want a chat, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. What’s more important than where you live and the place your family grow up?
Emma: It’s true, our reputation speaks for itself. We weren’t voted Estate Agency of the Year twice (including 2016) for nothing! In fact, since we began entering industry awards in 2009, we’ve won almost 50 titles. And we have amazing reviews on Google and Facebook.
TDP: How else do you get involved in the community?
John-Paul: We often go and support local businesses starting up in the area. We recently went to support Whirly Wines, a local winery in their start-up on Ritherdon Road. There was an amazing array of different wines for a very reasonable price.
Emma: We’ve had stalls at local schools (including sponsoring Fircroft School’s Christmas Fair last year) and want to continue to support local charities and community groups. There’s so much happening in Tooting, and we really want to get involved – watch this space, we’ll be popping up at all sorts of events in 2017!
